is it pretty much a given that Sutter himself cant really be relied upon as a decent winger option?

hes potted 20 before, and has shown decent hands from time to time. maybe freed from the defensive responsibilities of carrying a line and placed with a stud center he could work? i doubt it, but the numbers would work.

that being said. it would totally depend on the return for me. i think sutter is pretty decent. but if his number grows too big, he theoretically loses a large part of his value to the team: decent if not great play at a low number.

while i am absolutely in love with the idea of goc being the fourth line center, him at the three hole wouldnt be a terrible pill to swallow if the returning winger was good enough to ensure that the first 2 lines are pretty close to dominate. Besides, someone coming in bumps somebody down, which helps the third line make up the difference even more.

I like it... send him and martin, or him and despres for a top 6 winger. I'd actually prefer despres as I still think he proves why Bylsma didn't want anything to do with him this season. now... who needs depth at center and has depth at wing?
